Lab Tested Roof Rejuvenation
Roof rejuvenation should be backed by more than good before-and-after photos. The Roof Rejuvenate treatment has been evaluated through independent asphalt shingle testing, including a 1,500-hour accelerated weathering study performed through PRI Asphalt Technologies. The study compared untreated aging shingles with shingles treated using the Roof Rejuvenate formula after simulated long-term exposure.
The shingles used in the study were taken from a real residential roof and were approximately 15 years old. This matters because the test was not based on brand-new shingles in perfect condition. It looked at aging asphalt shingles similar to the roofs many Calgary homeowners are trying to maintain before replacement becomes necessary.
The goal of the testing was simple: measure whether the treatment helped improve the performance of older shingles. The results showed meaningful improvements in key areas such as granule adhesion, flexibility, tear strength, and visual appearance.

Proven Results: 5-Year Accelerated Aging Study
Asphalt shingles age as they lose oils, dry out, and become less flexible. Once that happens, they are more likely to shed granules, crack, curl, and deteriorate faster under Calgary’s sun, wind, hail, snow, and freeze-thaw conditions.
The lab testing was designed to compare treated and untreated shingles after accelerated weathering. Here is what the study found.
Better Granule Adhesion
Treated shingles retained more of their protective granule surface after accelerated aging.
Improved Flexibility
Treatment helped aging shingles become more flexible and less brittle.
Higher Tear Strength
Treated shingles showed stronger resistance to tearing after weathering tests.
Visual Restoration
Treated shingles often appear darker, cleaner, and closer to their original look.

What Roof Rejuvenation Is Designed to Improve
Roof Rejuvenate is designed to treat the common problems that happen as asphalt shingles age. Over time, shingles lose essential oils, become drier, and start to lose flexibility. That aging process can lead to granule loss, fading, brittleness, and a roof that looks older than it should.
The treatment helps by replenishing lost oils, improving shingle flexibility, supporting better granule adhesion, reducing the effects of oxidation, and improving the overall appearance of eligible asphalt shingle roofs.
Replaces Lost Oils
Asphalt shingles naturally lose oils as they age. Roof rejuvenation helps replenish those oils so the shingles become less dry and brittle.
Improves Granule Adhesion
Better granule adhesion helps shingles keep more of their protective surface, which is important for UV protection and long-term roof performance.
Helps Control Moss and Algae Growth
The treatment can make the shingle surface less favorable for moss and algae. Existing moss or algae may still need time, rain, or cleaning to wash away.
Reduces Oxidative Aging
Oxidation is one of the reasons asphalt shingles dry out over time. Rejuvenation helps slow the visible and physical effects of aging.
Improves Shingle Colour and Appearance
Treated shingles often look darker and more refreshed, giving the roof a cleaner, newer appearance without replacing the shingles.
